Landetxo Goikoa - Izenaduba Basoa
Landetxo marks a before and after of the Basque house's model. Its structure, interior designs and materials used in its construction make Landetxo a unique and referential model in Basque architecture. In its construction, techniques were used that came from the experience accumulated in the construction of the cathedrals that were being built at that time in the South of France and in the Iberian Peninsula.
A visit to its interior will allow us to take a journey through the history of Basque architecture and especially of the Basque house, temple, sacred place, social and economic institution, also religious, sanctuary of traditions and consequently a refuge of the Basque soul. It is the oldest farmhouse in Bizkaia.
It offers guided tours for adults and activities for all audiences throughout the year, with the exception of the months of November and December, when it becomes the largest theme park dedicated to Basque mythology. In addition to being a unique natural environment where mythological characters have their space, it is also the home of Olentzero and Mari Domingi.

Landetxo Goikoa is located in the municipality of Mungia, which preserves an important legacy of the Middle Ages that deserves to be visited, as well as outstanding examples of civil architecture.
Its rural neighbourhoods are also home to a wide monumental, ethnographic and landscape heritage with numerous farmhouses, churches, hermitages and mills of interest.
