Nervión Waterfall
From the parking lot in Delika to the Zalborondo Bridge
Suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM)
The tour begins in the parking lot at the entrance to the town. The floor, mostly flat, is paved from the parking lot to a metal fence that marks the entrance and beginning of the Green Way to Delika.
The pavement is quite regular with certain outings, such as the baden. In this stretch, we will cross the village. After the metal fence, you have to cross a little slope, there would be no problem with electric chairs, no electric motor chairs, better with the help of third parties.
After walking 300 feet on a concrete floor, we reach the Delika Horse Well from the fence. At this point, the floor goes from being paved to being made up of compacted trash. The track is wide, it can have a wheelchair and a baby chair.
For access to the viewpoint of the Horse Well, wheelchairs are recommended with the help of third parties. On the left there are stairs and on the right there is a dirt road.
The route ends at the Zalborondo Bridge, from where it follows a wide mountain track, with wheelchair access completely inaccessible.
Although it is a short journey, the views are spectacular, and you can enjoy waterfalls, Atlantic forests, canyons, etc. For all these reasons and more, this environment is part of a protected natural space classified as a Special Conservation Area (ZEC) within the Natura 2000 networ

From the Santiago Fountain parking lot to the Mirador Salto del Nervión
Not suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM)
The pavement on that stretch is made up of rubbish compacted by erosion caused by water runoff. There are quite a few large holes that should be avoided. During the rainy season, these holes are covered with water, and some deep puddles are formed. Because the pavement is very irregular, it can cause great vibrations to people who use a wheelchair, baby carts, etc. However, the track is wide, so you can reach the wheelchair viewpoint, the wheelbarrow, etc.
The part passes through a very lush and well-preserved forest of hayedos, karstic landscapes, etc., such as the statue dedicated to the shepherd.
The stretch begins at the Santiago Mountain Park House. There we shall see the birth of the River Nervión, and how it disappears as it enters a cave.
