La Arboleda natural complex

La Arboleda offers a spectacular natural and scenic environment. When the mining exploitation was abandoned, groundwater came to the surface and, today, the surrounding mining shafts have become lakes through which you can walk and enjoy nature. Declared a monument in 2002, the mining town of La Arboleda is undoubtedly the most representative neighbourhood of what was Biscay's historical mining.
