Description
Bilbao Arena is the city’s leading multi-purpose venue. Opened in 2011, it is located in the center of Bilbao, specifically in the neighborhood of Miribilla, and consists of 25,985 square meters of versatile and multifunctional facilities that can accommodate different types of business, training, commercial, cultural, sports, gastronomic, and musical activities, as well as national and international sports competitions.
In addition to being the home of the professional basketball club of the city, Bilbao Basket, it has hosted many other sports events of various modalities such as futsal, badminton, gymnastics, dance, ice sports, etc.
Likewise, the regular programming of the space includes musical and cultural events, concerts, theater and ballet shows, circus and family shows, business and trade fairs, political, union or religious events.
Among others, the arena has welcomed internationally recognised figures from the music world such as Aitana, Camilo, Alejandro Sanz, Scorpions, Pablo Alborán and André Rieu. It has also hosted productions such as Revolution On Ice, various Cirque du Soleil shows, Disney Live and Disney On Ice, theatrical performances including El Circo de los Horrores and Apocalipsis, as well as many other events such as Ura Bere Bidean, Fair Saturday, fairs and conferences.
