Discover the world of orienteering

Inguru Abentura

Description of the activity/company

Fancy using a map and compass in an exciting team race where it’s not all about running?

You’ll experience an orienteering challenge in which you’ll learn to use a compass, read maps and use techniques to be the fastest. A fun way to discover orienteering, where strategy and teamwork make all the difference.

In the orienteering events, which last three hours, the aim is to locate hidden control points. Each control point has clips and puzzles that allow you to move on to the next one and mark your progress on the control card.

Inguru Abentura’s qualified guides (Level 2 Mountain Leaders, UIMLA) will teach us how to navigate so we can be the fastest in the race.

We have over 20 different maps, designed and located in various areas to carry out this activity. If necessary, we can travel to other locations, organising this in advance. Our technical team will prepare an orienteering programme tailored to both the environment and the participants’ characteristics.

Learn to navigate in the wild using a compass and a specially adapted map that includes all the essential features and details needed to move safely through the mountains.

Discover the secrets of Urkiola: its mythology, its wild nature, its wildlife, its rugged mountains and the ancient shepherds’ trails.

Work as a team to locate all the control points on the map by following the indicated bearing and distance.
