Uribe Kosta Sea Tours

Description of the activity/company

This route offers a mixture of natural landscapes, geological formations and historical heritage.

The route starts at Plentzia Bay and follows a coastline dotted with coves, inlets, the Azkorriaga fort and old cannons that serve as reminders of its strategic past.

The route continues to Billano Island, an imposing islet off Gorliz that provides a refuge for a large number of seabirds.

The route skirts the coast of Armintza and Bakio until it reaches San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, next to the nearby islet of Akatz, renowned for its scenic beauty.

Along the way, you can also see the Lemoiz nuclear power station, one of the most characteristic features of this coastline.

The route also includes the cliffs of Barrika, known as the “cathedral of folds”, home to one of the most spectacular flysch formations in the Cantabrian Sea.
