La Concordia railway station
Description
Opened in 1902 in a modernist style, in the city centre of Bilbao, its façade is considered one of Bilbao’s Belle Époque heritage sites.
It currently operates commuter lines C4f (Bilbao-Valmaseda), the provincial suburban rail network R3b (Bilbao-Carranza) and regional lines linking Bilbao with other northern cities (Bilbao-Santander) and R-4 (Bilbao-Leon).
La Concordia station is very close to Abando train station. The shortest connection is no less than 100 metres on foot, via a set of stairs.
There is an alternative route without stairs, around Abando station, via Calle José María Olabarri.
The station has two floors, on the first are the entrances, toilets, information desk and ticket sales. The second floor provides access to the platforms and trains.
