Guided tours of the Encartaciones.

The Indian dream:

The Concha neighborhood, in Karrantza, is full of Indian houses. They are magical and majestic, each one more sumptuous and elegant than the last, with large gardens and groundbreaking architecture. We invite you to discover them on a guided tour that will show us the most outstanding examples and the ins and outs of the Indian movement.

The houses are private, so the visit takes place outside.

You will discover the exciting lives of the Indians who set out to explore the Americas and returned to Enkarterri with immense fortunes. The mansions are his most spectacular legacy, but not the only one. We will tell you how they made their fortune, their daily lives filled with luxuries, their great beneficent works (sometimes close to despotism) and many other stories.

A secret hidden for centuries: Paintings of San Andres de Biañez:

The church of San Andrés de Biáñez, located in the Karrantza valley, hid for centuries a secret that came to light during the restoration works of the parish altarpiece. When it was removed, a grandiose Renaissance fresco emerged in all its grandeur.

The paintings illustrate the passion of Christ, the Martyrdom of Saint Andrew and the Last Supper.

We will show them to you on this guided tour that will also take us to the American continent, following in the footsteps of the Indians, wealthy neighbors on the other side of the pond who populated the Karrantza valley with their luxurious mansions.
