Faro de Gorliz
Go back to Gorliz Lighthouse - Accessible
Description
Circular route covering a distance of approximately 6 km.
The Gorliz lighthouse is located at the highest point of Cape Billao, in the midst of nature. Situated about 165 meters above sea level, it was built in 1990.
The structure, consisting of two white towers 21 meters high attached to each other, along with its lantern, makes this a modern lighthouse with an appearance very different from the traditional.
Access to the Gorliz Lighthouse can be done by car or on foot. By car, there is a small nearby parking area, while the most popular route starts from Gorliz Beach, taking approximately 30-40 minutes on foot.
It is an easy route, though with some sloping sections, suitable for families with children, as it is well signposted and not very difficult. Comfortable footwear and water are recommended.
