Description
Azkuna Zentroa, the Center for Contemporary Society and Culture in Bilbao, combines a local and international perspective and is open to dialogue with all communities. It is a space where culture is experienced as practice, process, and engagement, working with artists, agents, and diverse communities through a hybrid and multilateral program that brings contemporary culture closer to all audiences. The center pays special attention to current creation in Basque and to feminist perspectives in art, using mediation and education as tools to generate critical knowledge and transform society through culture.
Azkuna Zentroa offers accessible infrastructure and resources so that everyone can enjoy culture on equal terms. The center continuously works to improve its spaces and programming, incorporating new accessibility measures each year.
